Wedding gowns are all gorgeously designed, and every bride is uniquely beautiful; accessories can help further personalize or upgrade any already stunning look to make it that much more special for that important day! From some tried and true staples to some newer takes on classic favorites, keep reading to find out what we are seeing as the top accessory trends for 2023.

  • A newer trend that we are seeing going into next year is designers finding ways to incorporate outwear with their gowns! We are seeing styles with tulle jackets, lace shawls, and even some outstanding boleros and intricately detailed gloves. One example of this is the style “Shawn” from Martin Thornburg which features a magnificent separate illusion jacket with bishop sleeves and lace cuffs. It adds refined drama to this bohemian chic gown.

  • Pearls, pearls and more pearls! The perfect bridal gemstone, next to a girl’s best friend, of course! You can expect to see pearls on just about every different bridal element you can think of. From intricate invitations and bouquet accents to veils and hats, pearls will be found on just about anything you could use or need for your wedding. Like these amazing bracelets from Jaxie Bridal that can also be doubled as quick and cute hair elastics! How adorably functional! (Check out this reel on our IG to see an up close look of some of the styles we have in our boutique!)

  • With celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian joining in on this unique and versatile trend with her sheer veil designed by Dolce & Gabbana; hand embroidered with the Virgin Mary, you can definitely look forward to seeing a lot of different and unique veils in 2023. Whether they be embroidered with the engaged couple’s soon-to-be shared last name or lace florals in different colors, there is so much that can be done with veils to personalize them. Typically veils are only worn for the ceremony and pictures, so this is a really cool way to switch things up with a statement during that big day!

  • Who wouldn’t love getting multiple stunning looks with just one dress?! Detachable trains are a PHENOMENAL accessory that designers are including more and more in bridal fashion. A bride can have one really glamorous and elegantly dramatic look for their ceremony and be able to remove their train/skirt to have a completely new and versatile look for their reception or party! An example of this is one of the newest designs from Martin Thornburg which includes a detachable tulle train that adds a dramatic flare, creating a breathtaking silhouette that demands attention.

Whether it be with a 2-in-1 look from a detachable train or show stopping details on a custom veil, there are so many ways to use accessories to enhance your bridal look. Which of these trends do you think you would include on your big day?!
