POPULAR WEDDING COLOR PALETTES

“Have you decided on colors for your wedding yet?” This is a question that engaged couples get asked all the time throughout planning, and one that can be key for many other special details for that big day. Color tells a story, so deciding which ones you want to showcase for your wedding is something you’ll definitely want to take into consideration when you’re making decisions earlier on in the wedding planning process. With so many beautiful color combinations out there, it can be hard to decide which ones would tell YOUR story the best. To help in the process, we have broken down some of our favorite wedding color palettes for you.

Muted Neutrals: Neutrals, neutrals, and more neutrals! This is a color palette you won’t see going away any time soon. These tones have a more calming effect, as they can be described as safe, familiar, and disarming whilst also being extremely modern and versatile. Whether you’re going for a bohemian chic theme with creams, clay shades, and rich browns or a more timeless romantic look with shades of pale blush, beige and grey, you’re sure to be the star of the show while bringing comfort and joy to your loved ones.

Sage Green & Dusty Blue : These light and airy colors are incredibly complimentary, and by adding in accents of white or silver or greenery elements you can really enhance it to create a very whimsical and soft yet pretty palette. For the couple who is looking to convey elegant tranquility and romance, this color combination is a perfect pairing. This palette would be stunning for a spring or winter wedding, whether vintage or modern inspired.

Black & White: A classic that speaks for itself. This monochromatic color combination is the peak of formal elegance. Though some may consider it the lesser exciting of options, we can’t help but love the traditional yet modern touch that a black and white theme can bring to any wedding vision. You can make a bold statement and keep it strictly black and white even down to guest attire, or allow it to be a base and add in pops of color for a fun flare as well.

Greenery: You’ll see this “color” year round for decades to come, as it is one of the most beautiful and versatile of all. Actually selected by Pantone in 2017 as Color of the Year, the greenery wedding color is a phenomenal way for you to bring life into your big day. Becoming increasingly popular and showing no signs of slowing down, you can combine just about any other shade with greenery and create a stunning story. Some of our personal favorites are greenery and ivory, greenery and dusty blue and also greenery and champagne!

Earth Tones: Just like the glorious shades of the earth, this color palette will create a story of depth and richness. Especially seen in autumn and fall weddings, colors like: rust, burnt orange, wine and terracotta are particularly popular. A fun twist to make this palette even that much more dynamic is adding in some cool earth tones as well like emerald green or slate grey.
