SOFIA RICHIE'S THREE CUSTOM CHANEL WEDDING GOWNS

Sofia Richie wore not just one, not just two, but THREE custom Chanel wedding gowns for her dreamy ceremony in the south of France this past weekend. The model married music producer Elliott Grainge at hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a luxury hotel in Antibes, France. Their beautiful and well thought out big day was a star-studded affair. Not only did her dad, Lionel Richie, and sister, Nicole Richie, attend the important affairs, but also Cameron Diaz, Benji and Joel Madden, Paris Hilton, Carter Reum, and other celebrities made an appearance. Already being considered the Royal Wedding of the year, it is no surprise this wedding and couple have taken instagram and TikTok by storm. In her behind the scenes videos with Vogue, she described her three looks to the publication; she explained, "I always had this vision of the big princess dress, and going big, but as I got older, I realized that I wanted something a bit more simple. Maybe 'simple' isn't the right word because my dresses definitely are not simple!" Let's take a look at Sofia's three custom Chanel looks!

For her rehearsal dinner the bride donned a long-sleeved beaded dress with a high neck and elegant yet fun fringe detailing. “I’m scared to move because I don’t want to ruin one bead,” she told the publication while trying on the dress. “This is like a fairy tale. It really is. It’s like an art piece. I feel like a princess. I really do!” We love how modern this look is and how the bride was so impressed with this gown she felt like she was wearing an art piece. The fringe is pulled together with a touch on the cuffs. This was just the start of Richie's fairytale looks.

For the actual ceremony the model wore another bespoke Chanel gown, this one a halter neck embellished lace and beaded design with a glorious long cathedral train which looked absolutely jaw-dropping as she was walked down the aisle by her father, Lionel Richie. She paired her dress with a simple clean unique veil that was created for her as well, a glistening piece “adorned with resin water droplets” that sparkled as she walked. It’s a dew stop style, which is a single tier minimalist veil on silky soft tulle that features hints of sparkle that catch the like like drops of water. The magical piece accompanied her dress perfectly, along with a bouquet of white flowers. A few sentimental and subtle details were included in the design, such as two embroidered hearts on the front of the gown and the couple's initials stitched in blue inside the chest.

Last but certainly not least was Sofia's final bridal look for her party and reception, this one a short number which Sofia described as her “little girl dream”. She opted for a white Chanel mini dress which is inspired by Claudia Schiffer’s famous runway dress from 1993. Speaking to Vogue about the look, the 24-year-old added: “I can dance, I can move. I love it! It’s traditional Chanel.” Richie accessorized her afterparty look with aquamarine chandelier earrings and Jimmy Choo pumps. A statement that was both fun and functional for the evening.

Between Richie's three custom Chanel gowns all the way to surprise performances by Lionel and Good Charlotte, it's no surprise why this wedded duo generated such fanfare. From looking at the photos the couple have shared online and the behind the scenes exclusive looks with Vogue, it was a truly magical affair from start to finish.
